Waxing lyrical about waxed jackets!

I love wax jackets. There I said it. But I also love fashion, and unfortunately thus far the two have largely been mutually exclusive. Wondering if I have a point? I do. And some fantastic fashion news...

Influential fashion institutions such as Vogue are buzzing with latest in designer collaborations; Barbour and Brit designer Alice Temperley. The modest styled jackets of Barbour have always appeared, at least to my mind, as synonymous for the most part with the countryside elite, their presence in the world of haute couture has been elusive to say the least. However, this recent collaboration I believe will put paid to this fact; wax jackets are so in.

Looking on the Instyle website they suggest that Alexa Chung's festival-grunge trademark look is most likely responsible for spurring on the popularity of wax jackets. I'm thinking that this collaboration will mark the movement of wax jackets into the fashion stratosphere. From the farmer's faithful to high fashion staple; if fashion gossip is anything to go by in 2011 the wax jacket will be settling itself as a must-have amongst the fashion set... I want one!

Celtic Sheepskin, (timeless and yet ever fashionable!), has it's own range of practical yet stylish wax jackets to suit. Made from 100% dry wax cotton these coats will keep out the elements and keep you looking ultra chic. They are superb quality, with a humble price-tag to boot! My personal favourites are the Chelsea and the Hazelwood jackets...

These jackets ooze aristocratic style and are such flattering fits. To top it all, by the start of the New Year they'll be high fashion too. So go on; treat yourself to the next big thing. Your friends will be amazed at how fashion forward you are!
