We’ve got some gorgeous new pieces in...

That’s it, the clocks have changed and my workday now ends in moonlit darkness. Winter duvet time is getting ever near and I’m buying thick tights. Thank goodness thick tights are fashionable this season! Of course, when you work at Celtic Sheepskin the cold only means one thing – more people start asking for our knitwear! I was delighted to nip to our local Morrison supermarket yesterday and see a lady standing at the Royal British Legion table, giving out poppies to all who supported their appeal. As she stood there in her Drop Back Fisherman’s Jumper and Celtic Boots, a complete stranger, I felt a certain sense of pride that Celtic Sheepskin’s woollies are going to be warming many folks this winter. What a well turned out group we’ll all be!

Which brings me onto the exciting task of talking about FOUR new jumpers that we have just introduced, plus a new, ultra fantastic style Aviator Jacket , a BELTED Aviator Jacket to be precise. And may I say now that if you do want one of these gorgeous on-trend jackets this winter, it’s certainly worth paying a little bit more on one that will do “what it says on the tin”. Now, I’m sure very few of you have plans to re-enact Top Gun, but boy is this jacket worth wearing out in the open air. Perhaps in a topless car or even just an open top bus. In fact, it doesn’t matter if you strut around the alps after a day on the slopes, or just need to walk the dog in the howling wind; imaging how gorgeous you’ll remain in it!

But I digress. I began with discussing the snuggly, and utterly heavenly jumpers (and one cardi) that have just been launched this week. We’re sending out new catalogues to all our devout, and wonderful customers so you can not only drool over these knits online, but also in a beautiful tactile book. So with the help of our famed puppy Alfie, let’s take a look at the newbies...

Take the Button Kimono.

Knitted in a moss stitch, that gives an almost waffle effect to this kimono, the cardi is made in a very wearable oatmeal that will compliment almost every skin tone. And with dramatic wooden buttons, it is bound to impress your friends.

Then there’s our new Button Cuff Cowl. With a wonderful ribbed cowl neck that neither sits to high like a polo or too low like a scoop, you’re bound to be kept uber warm in it this winter.

Or why not opt for the Super Chunky Cashmere Jumper? With cashmere in its name you can guarantee two things; One, that it’ll be one of (if not the) softest jumpers you’ll own, and two that you’ll need to pay a little bit more for this exceptional fabric. And I can assure you; every penny is worth it. It’s totally heavenly, perfectly cosy and wonderfully adaptable to so many outfits. Need I say more!

Which leaves me with the final jumper from the “new list”, our Fairisle Sleeve Slouch. You may have spotted this one in the Autumn catalogue, with Amelie wearing it as she lay across one of our enormous leather beanbags. It was more of a suggestion of what’s to come, so I’m delighted to confirm that it’s now arrived! Here we’ve put it with our cashmere Fairisle accessories, so if you’re thinking of making a gift of this, then these could make ideal accompaniments. If rather you’re looking for this to wear as you shop for presents, then I think you’re on to a stella idea. It’s so comfy, and made in Lambswool you probably find you don’t need to lug a winter coat around as you nip from shop to shop. Perfect!
